George Washington II
Title: Volunteer Coach

George Washington, now entering his third season as assistant coach for Coach Russell and the CLC men's basketball program, made the move from South Minneapolis in 2005 to the Brainerd Lakes Area in order to attend college and play basketball at CLC. In the 2007-2008 basketball season, he left his mark as the starting point guard, leading CLC to its first state championship, regional championship, and national appearance. After graduating from CLC, Washington went on to complete his bachelor’s degree in Business at Concordia University. Beyond coaching at CLC, he also coaches an 8th-grade girls' traveling basketball team and actively contributes to local basketball growth as part of the Brainerd Basketball Association. George's journey is a tale of victories, both on the court and in shaping the future of basketball in the Brainerd Lakes Area.
