Coach Mark Lindquist

Mark Lindquist is the assistant women’s basketball coach at Central Lakes College where he also teaches CCST and Music courses. He began his coaching career in 1987 while still a co-captain of his own State Tournament high school team. After graduating from Hamline University in 1992, Mark worked as an award winning sports writer in Duluth, Minnesota. He coached numerous youth teams until moving to Baxter in 2012 where he trained area high school girls basketball players looking to improve at all levels. In 2017, he began working at CLC and earned a master’s degree in Physical Education-Coaching of Sport from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2023. Both he and his wife Brandy teach at Central Lakes College and are parents of twin daughters Dorthea and Loretta. 

Mark Lindquist’s Coaching Philosophy:

I am an ally and resource for student athletes and their families off the court.

I am an educator of student athletes at practice and in the classroom.

I lead student athletes to compete at their highest level on game day.
