Peterson: A leader and a coach

Jane Peterson begins her 27th season as the Raiders head coach. She is one of the winningest active coaches in the NJCAA (607-256). Her players have been awarded a place on All American teams 26 times. She has been state and region Coach of the Year numerous times and was awarded National Coach of the Year in 2000, 2001, and 2007 when her Raider teams captured national championships!

The Raiders have made thirteen appearances at their national tournament. Jane was the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Two year College Coach of the Year in 2007 and the West Region coach of the year in 2013.

In 2012 she was inducted into the NJCAA Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame. Jane grew up playing volleyball in La Jolla, Calif. She attended the College of William and Mary on a Division I scholarship and was inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005. She completed a master's degree in Athletic Administration from St Cloud State University where she was a graduate assistant and assistant coach. She has previously served as the Raiders softball coach and athletic director. She currently teaches physical education classes in addition to her coaching duties. Jane is also the Director of the Central Lakes Juniors Volleyball Club.
