Coach Thurman enters his first season as the Raiders Head Football Coach in 2024. He brings a wealth of experience from his five-year tenure at Armijo High School in California where he served as a Position Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Head Coach, where he is also an alumnus. His coaching journey includes roles as Assistant Running Backs Coach at Solano Community College and Defensive Line Coach at American River College. Following these positions, he served as Head Football Coach at Mira Loma High School for four years. As a player, Thurman earned a partial scholarship to North Dakota State after two seasons as a starting defensive lineman and was an All-League Honorable Mention at American River College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health from Eastern Oregon University and a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
